Charles H. Schoen was a Charter Member of the Avon Optimist Club who had perfect attendance for 27 years. In remembrance of him and his steadfast support of the community, the club established this scholarship. Recently, the Scholarship fund received a very generous bequest from the late Edward Loughery, a friend of Charles Schoen and a club member for many years.
The Charles H. Schoen Memorial Scholarship fund is a 501-c(3) not-for-profit foundation. Anyone wishing to support vocational education for Washington Township students may contribute. Please contact the Avon Optimist Club at the scholarship address.
