The Avon Optimist Club Oratorical Contest will be held at the Avon-Washington Township Library on Saturday, February 21 at 9:00 a.m. Come on in and hear some really amazing young people talk about "How My Optimism Will Help Me Press On To Greater Achievements of the Future." Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend - you won’t be disappointed.
The club made The HC Magazine (published by the Flyer) thanks to our partnership with and donation to the Central Indiana Woodworkers. Paul G. also submitted an article about our donation for publication in the OI Magazine.
An important purpose of Optimism is to serve the youth of our community. This gives us our motto. We serve our community in other important ways, too.
From our education-related projects to our highway cleanup work, the Avon Optimist Club offers many ways to help our community be a better place.
The Club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Monical's Pizza, located on the south side of US 36 in Avon, Indiana.
...and on the 1st Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. for a Spouses'/Friends/Family Night, location to be announced
...and on the 3rd Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at varying locations for our Board Meeting
Membership is open to any adult who is interested in improving the Avon-Washington Township community.
