Congratulations to our Math Bee winners!
This year the Math Bee contest was open to any 3rd or 4th grade student in Washington Township. The Bee was once again held at Kingsway School. Here are the winning contestants and their schools. Congratulations to all of them for all their hard work, and a big Thank you to all students and their parents for participating, and to Kingsway School and staff.

4th grade: 1st Noriko Chu, Kingsway, 2nd Maris Gerbers, Kingsway, 3rd Jack Wetzel, River Birch, 4th Shayla Cash, Kingsway, 5th Zoe Ducios, Kingsway.

Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted
The Avon Optimist Club is now accepting applications for the 2017 Vocational/Two-Year Program Charles H. Schoen Scholarship.

Congratulations to Mr. Vivaan Grover and Ms. Katherine Langford, who won our Club Oratorical contest and also won the District Semi-Final Level contest on April 8th, and will now compete in the District Finals on April 22nd.

From our education-related projects to our highway cleanup work, the Avon Optimist Club offers many ways to help our community be a better place.

The Club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Monical's Pizza, located on the south side of US 36 in Avon, Indiana.
...and on the 1st Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. for a Spouses'/Friends/Family Night, location to be announced
...and on the 3rd Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at varying locations for our Board Meeting
